You’re A Hidden Gem
Your expertise is stronger than your messaging currently communicates.
What your answers suggest
Based on your answers, I think you likely have far more depth, experience and insight than your website currently communicates. What might be getting in the way is that you're not completely clear on who you help, how to describe your work, or both.
Because of this, you could be losing enquiries when the right people land on your website and leave without getting in touch – not because you can't help them, but because they couldn't see it quickly enough
Where your website is right now
Your website isn’t suffering because of a lack of thought or effort. It’s hard to communicate work that is nuanced, personal and difficult to describe in a few sentences.
You perhaps:
Do deep, transformative or spiritual work and aren’t sure how to describe what you do or how you do it, in a way that feels grounded and practical
Are not completely sure who your ideal client is
Have tweaked and rewritten your website so many times you can no longer see how it might come across to an ideal client
Why this matters
Like many practitioners, you may help a broad range of people using different methods and approaches. But, when a website tries to speak to everyone equally, a visitor struggles to quickly understand who you help, how, and whether you’re the right fit for them.
This doesn’t mean you have to force yourself to narrow your niche or use pushy marketing language. But your website does need enough clarity for the right people to recognise themselves as someone you could help.
What you can do next
To help potential clients quickly recognise that you can help them, you can focus on the language they use.
Look at your testimonials, or think about what clients have said to you. Have different clients used the same words or phrases to talk about what they’re going through, or to describe the outcomes they got from working with you?
For example, they may say they felt stressed or directionless before working with you or had physical pain. Afterwards they felt calm, more trusting of their inner guidance, and less stiff and achy.
Use this language across your website to describe what you help your clients with and the outcomes they can expect.
How I can help
We’re often too close to our own work to see it clearly. And if you’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out who your ideal client is or how to describe the work you do, a focused conversation with me could help.
A Website Messaging and Clarity Session is a 1-hour, one-to-one conversation with me – someone who understands practitioners and websites.
Before the session you’ll complete a short questionnaire and I’ll spend some time reviewing your website and current messaging. We’ll then have an in-depth chat to untangle what’s currently creating confusion or friction and find a clear way forward.
Curious about the other result categories? This is your dominant category, but most websites are a mix. Take a look: Rough Diamond | Pearl in the Making.
