Website Clarity Reviews for service-based businesses

Clear website messaging and structure helps the right clients recognise your value and feel confident reaching out

Many experienced coaches, practitioners and service-based business owners struggle to clearly communicate their expertise and value. When you're close to your own work it's easy to miss where visitors may feel unsure, confused or hesitant.

Website clarity plays a big part in whether a potential client feels confident enough to take the next step.

Drawing on 20 years’ experience in content design and UX (user experience) design, I review your site from the perspective of a first-time visitor.

I identify improvements to your messaging and structure so visitors quickly understand what you do and whether it’s right for them.

After your Website Clarity Review, you'll know exactly what to improve first so the right visitors quickly understand your value and how to work with you.

Who I help

I work with:

  • Coaches

  • Therapists

  • Consultants

  • Service-based business owners

  • Independent professionals

As a solopreneur or small business you may be unsure whether your website speaks to your ideal customer. This is where a fresh pair of eyes from an expert can help.

This can be particularly helpful for experienced practitioners whose work has evolved but whose website hasn’t kept up.

When a Website Clarity Review is helpful

It’s helpful if:

  • Messaging about your work feels unclear

  • You're not sure why visitors aren’t taking action (booking your services, signing up to your newsletter etc)

  • You’re considering a redesign and are looking for expert direction

  • You want feedback on whether your website and offer is clear

This is probably not right for you if:

  • You want a full redesign

  • You want copywriting done for you

My background and expertise

With over 20 years’ experience as a content and UX designer, my approach combines:

  • UX best practice

  • Content design principles

  • An understanding of how website visitors make decisions

In my work I’ve seen many brilliant practitioners, solopreneurs and service-based businesses struggle to design a clear and compelling website. This is simply because they’re too close to their own work and it’s not their area of expertise.

  • Written feedback on your messaging and structure and any barriers to potential clients working with you

  • An optional 15-minute chat within 14 days of receiving your feedback to ask any questions

How to book

Send me your website link and I’ll confirm whether a clarity review would be useful – no obligation to book.

How the process works

I send you a short background form and payment link

  1. Once payment is received, I review your site as a first-time visitor

  2. I record your review video

  3. You receive video, written feedback and priorities within 3 working days

  4. Optional follow-up call

All feedback is practical, prioritised and focused on what will make the biggest difference first.

What happens after a Website Clarity Review

The review shows exactly what to improve first and why visitors may not currently be taking action.

Your review will come with a link to book an optional 15-minute call (audio or video) in case you have any follow up questions.

You may choose to make updates to your website yourself, but if you prefer help I’m happy to help you find a designer.

Common outcomes

Clients often discover:

  • Their offer wasn't explained as clearly as they thought

  • Important information was missing from key pages

  • Navigation was making decisions harder than necessary

  • Their expertise was understated

  • Simple structure changes could improve enquiries

Common questions about Website Clarity Reviews

Do you redesign websites?

No – I don’t redesign websites. My focus is on improving clarity, messaging, and structure so your existing site communicates more effectively.

What if I don’t want to make the updates myself?

If you'd prefer not to make the updates yourself, I can help you find a designer to help you make the changes.

Do you provide the exact words to go on the website?

No. The review focuses on website messaging and structure rather than full wording. I may suggest example wording where helpful but I don’t provide website copy. If you need help with your website copy I’m happy to discuss it.

What is your feedback style?

My feedback is constructive, practical and respectful. Most websites I review have strong foundations, so I highlight what’s working well as well as where clarity could be improved.
