Clarity in communication, websites, and personal change

I help practitioners clarify their websites, and explore how clarity helps us create change in our lives and work

Occasionally I send out a newsletter I call Refocusing Reflections. This is where I share thoughts on clarity in business and life, updates on the Refocusing Method, and what I'm learning along the way.

Hi. I’m Elizabeth – or Liz – happy to be called either.

My work focuses on transformation — how it happens individually, collectively, and through greater clarity.

I also work with words – how we use them to share our stories and to convey clearly what we do. More philosophically, I’m interested in how words make us feel, and how they can bring us together.

In my work I:

  • Help coaches and practitioners clarify their website messaging so they attract more of the right clients

  • Develop the Refocusing Method, a framework for closing the gap between knowing and living personal growth principles

  • Write fiction and nonfiction

Website Clarity Reviews

I’ve spent over 20 years working as a website editor, content designer and UX (user experience) designer. It’s naturally where my love of words led me.

I help coaches, therapists, practitioners and service-based businesses clarify their website messaging and navigation so the people they’re best placed to help can easily connect with them.

The Refocusing Method

I believe we shape our lives through our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and focus.

I’ve spent many years immersed in books on this subject and experimenting in my own life. Over time I noticed, both in myself and my coaching clients, there was often a gap between knowing how to do something and actually living it. Why this gap exists, and how we can close it, is something I love learning about and sharing.

Through my experiences I came up with a practice-based framework for addressing this gap. I call this framework the Refocusing Method.

Writing

I self-published my first novel, The Pope Wears a Kippah, in 2014. Writing it took me 8, mostly enjoyable years – it felt so good to hold the paperback in my hand.

I’m currently working on a nonfiction book – part memoir and part practical help – about a difficult time in my life which ultimately had huge benefits and led to the Refocusing Method.

My imagination loves being let loose through fiction. And the organised part of me loves writing useful nonfiction that anyone can use in their lives.
