Your website might be:
A Pearl in the Making

It just needs copy and structure that reflects the quality of your work.

What your answers suggest

Based on your answers, it sounds like your website would benefit most from updated copy, clearer messaging and a structure that better reflects the work you do today. The good news is that the foundations are there — your website simply needs to communicate your value more clearly and build trust more quickly.

Where your website is right now

You do incredible work in the real world, but your website probably isn't reflecting the quality, professionalism and care you bring to your clients.

Maybe you’ve struggled to find the time to update your website. Or you’ve found the time but, when you try to pull together everything about what you do, who you help and how, it all gets jumbled and you can’t see the wood for the trees.

An up-to-date, well-written website that speaks directly to your clients’ needs creates a great first impression and goes a long way to building trust. Even if most of your clients come through referrals, people still go to your website before getting in touch.

Why this matters

Your website will evolve as your business does, and just needs to quickly help visitors know:

  • that you understand their struggles and challenges

  • the quality and professionalism of your work

  • what the next step is, whether that’s booking a session or arranging a discovery call

An outdated or unclear website can unintentionally create doubt about how current, attentive or established your business is.

What you can do next

These steps break down the process of updating your website into manageable chunks, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming.

Write down the things that need updating on your site.

  1. Sort the list into:

    • quick wins

    • most important changes

    • less important changes

  2. Block out an hour in your calendar for 5 days in a row to work on this – ideally at the same time each day.

  3. Start with the quick wins, then move to the most important changes, and finally the least important changes.

By starting with the quick wins, you’ll immediately feel good about the improvements you’ve made. It builds momentum to carry you through until your list is complete.

Another thing you can do is block out a couple of hours at the same time each month for website maintenance. So if you’ve added or changed a service, checking that the rest of the site doesn’t reference old services or prices. By staying on top of your updates, it won’t build up into an overwhelming, long list.
