Your website might be:
A Rough Diamond
With some tweaks and polish, you’ll have a website to be truly proud of.
What your answers suggest
Based on your answers, it sounds like your website already has good foundations. You know the copy and structure are decent, but think a few well-placed changes could help your site work harder.
By making it clearer who you help, how you help them and what they should do next, you increase the chances of someone making an enquiry because they quickly understand that you're a good fit.
Where your website is right now
The good news is you're probably not starting from scratch. Your website already has solid foundations but you're looking for ways to make it work harder for your business.
Maybe you built your site and wrote the copy on your own. Perhaps you’ve spent hours refining your homepage headline, subheading, and copy, but you’ve spent so long looking at it that you’re no longer sure if it speaks clearly to your ideal client or not.
Perhaps your site gets visitors, but few book a session or ask about working with you. You’ve made changes but aren’t sure if they’ll make a difference or not, because you’re not exactly sure what the problem is.
Why this matters
When you’re not clear on why your website isn’t working as well as it could, making updates and improvements can be a waste of valuable time. When you don’t know what someone’s experience of your site is, it’s difficult to know what to change.
Sometimes it’s the ‘small’ things that cause friction and confusion on a site. Maybe your homepage focuses heavily on you and not enough on your clients and their struggles. Or perhaps visitors can’t see a clear next step, like booking a session or getting in touch.
This is where a fresh pair of eyes helps.
What you can do next
A useful first step is to ask someone who doesn’t know your work well to help test your site.
Ask them to carry out a few simple tasks while ‘thinking out loud’ to see how easily they can do them. For example:
Go to the homepage of my website. Without scrolling down the page, who do you think I help, with what challenges and how?
Go to my services page and book a session (or a discovery call etc) with me.
Look at one of my services. What problem does it help with and what outcomes would you expect from it?
Sit beside them as they do this or, if you’re online, have them share their screen. Ask them to tell you what they’re thinking as they move through your site completing the tasks, for example: ‘I was expecting to find a booking link here’.
You’re looking for moments where they become confused, hesitate, or aren’t sure what to do next. If that happens, make a note because it’s usually a sign that parts of the site could be clearer or easier to navigate. In the following days, make changes to your site to improve the user experience, based on the feedback you received.
How I can help
We’re often too close to our own work to see where our websites aren’t communicating with clarity and trust.
A Website Clarity Review helps you understand how someone new experiences your website, where confusion or friction is happening, and what changes are most likely to improve trust and enquiries.
As part of the review you’ll get a video walkthrough of me as I navigate your site, sharing what’s working well and what can be improved. You’ll also get a written report of suggested improvements and the top priorities to make the biggest difference.
